IIM Bangalore provides financial assistance to PGP students based on financial need. Students with an annual household income of less than ₹8 lakh are eligible to apply. The institute also considers students facing severe financial difficulties because of sudden and unforeseen circumstances.

The Financial Aid Committee assesses applications through a two-stage process. The evaluation considers household income, savings, real estate and other assets, along with the applicant's financial circumstances. Depending on the assessment, eligible students can receive financial aid covering 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% or 100% of the assessed requirement.

In addition to need-based financial aid, IIM Bangalore offers several merit-based and merit-cum-need-based scholarships.

The Aditya Birla Scholarship provides ₹1.75 lakh to selected PGP students and is available in both years, subject to the prescribed renewal criteria. The OPJEMS Scholarship offers ₹1.50 lakh to a selected second-year PGP student based on academic performance and an online test. The NTPC Scholarship Scheme provides ₹48,000 annually to eligible second-year students belonging to SC, ST or PwD categories.

Other support includes the Employment in Social Sector Scholarship, which reimburses one-third of fees for eligible recipients after each year of qualifying social-sector employment. Government scholarships are also available for eligible ST, SC and PwD students. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment schemes can cover tuition expenses in full for eligible students, while the PwD scholarship provides ₹2.55 lakh per year.
