The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur has announced the opening of applications for admission to its Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme for the 2026–28 academic batches. The institute is offering a total of 340 seats, and candidates who are interested in the course can submit their applications up until January 25. The Personal Interviews of the candidates who will be shortlisted will be held between February and April.

The candidates need to be qualified in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 to be eligible. The candidates can apply through the official website of IIM Nagpur. The MBA course is designed to produce worldly-wise and socially responsible business leaders by enhancing analytical acumen and developing a global outlook.

The admission process is conducted in three stages. In Stage 1, CAT 2025-qualified candidates must complete the IIM Nagpur application form. Eligibility at this stage is determined solely by CAT 2025 sectional and overall cut-offs, with candidates required to score above zero in all sections. Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email and must submit detailed academic records, work experience documents (if applicable), and relevant category certificates.

Stage 2 involves shortlisting candidates for the Personal Interview based on a Shortlisting Score, which considers CAT performance along with past academic performance, work experience, and gender diversity. Shortlisted applicants must confirm participation, submit an online PI form, and indicate their preferred interview locations. Interviews will be conducted at Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and the IIM Nagpur campus.

The Personal Interview may include an extempore round, where candidates speak on a given topic after brief preparation.

In Stage 3, final selection is based on a composite Final Score comprising CAT score (45%), PI performance (25%), past academics (6%), work experience (9%), academic diversity (5%), and gender diversity (10%).

Provisional admission offers will be sent to the selected candidates via email, and the fees to be paid as a confirmation of admission is 1 lakh, which will be adjusted against the first-term fees. The programme cost is 21 lakh in all programmes of 2026 2028.

IIM Nagpur also offers merit-based and need-cum-merit scholarships, with full tuition fee waivers awarded to 20 eligible students. Additionally, students can explore education loans and financial assistance through banks and the PM-Vidyalaxmi Scheme.
