IIT Madras DoMS EMBA 2026 Admission Deadline Nears

The Department of Management Studies (DoMS) at IIT Madras has begun accepting applications for its Executive MBA (EMBA) program. For the two-year MBA program, the application deadline is October 19, 2025.

The EMBA program is designed for employed individuals seeking to obtain management education while continuing their work. EMBA courses will take place on weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday, enabling students to maintain their jobs while improving their leadership skills. The EMBA program features advanced management topics, case studies, and three practical capstone projects.

The Executive MBA (EMBA) program at DoMS will begin in January 2026. Candidates who are interested must submit an application fee of ₹1,500. DoMS at IIT Madras has officially announced that selected candidates will be welcomed to the IIT Madras campus on November 8 and 9, 2025. The assessment consists of a written skills evaluation and a personal interview.

“Written aptitude test will be based on -Business Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability. Results are announced by December 2025 and the program will commence by January 2026,” it reads.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60 percent marks and at least three years of work experience to apply for the course. The program intends to develop leaders prepared for intricate business challenges, merging technical proficiency with management capabilities.

Candidates are encouraged to send in their applications prior to the deadline, as the number of available seats is restricted and demand is significant. The IIT Madras brochure states that there are limited seats for company-sponsored candidates, who must present sponsorship letters in the specified format (Download format) from their employers.

The IIT Madras EMBA course provides a distinctive chance for working professionals aiming to transition into senior management positions or change their career paths.
