IIT Roorkee Launches Strategic Product Management Programme

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has launched a Strategic Product Management (SPM) programme to prepare upcoming professionals and recent graduates to be product leaders for tomorrow. 

The course duration is five months and the main concern of this program is to equip students with end-to-end product thinking - from ideation to go-to-market execution through live online classes and an eventual three days campus immersion at the IIT Roorkee campus.

 The Strategic Product Management programme applicants must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, from a recognized institution, with a minimum minimum of 50% aggregate marks. A diploma (10+3) is also accepted. The selection process will be based on a holistic assessment of their profile considering their prior academic performance, current role, and the statement of purpose.

The five-month programme equips students with end-to-end product thinking - ideation to go-to-market execution, through live online classes and an in-person opportunity with the three-day campus immersion at the IIT Roorkee campus.

The institute will engage the programme from August 9 this year. Program highlights include: live, online classes by IIT Roorkee faculty, a real-world BYOP project with mentor support, a three-day on-campus immersion at IIT Roorkee, weekend learning (sessions on Saturday and Sunday) training using industry-standard tools. The CEC, IIT Roorkee will also provide an additional certificate and assist with personalized interviewing practice.

The program will end in a Post Graduate Certificate from the Continuing Education Centre(CEC), and participants will create and deliver a live product, with the assistance of IIT Roorkee Faculty and industry mentors. This IIT-Roorkee led program will help build product leaders who can navigate complexity, draw upon AI, and transform customer insights into breakthroughs.
