Synopsis:  JNU opens online registrations for PG and ADOP admissions for the 2026–27 academic sessions through CUET PG scores, offering programmes across arts, sciences, engineering, languages, and interdisciplinary studies.

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has commenced the online application process for postgraduate (PG) and Advanced Diploma of Proficiency (ADOP) programmes for the 2026–27 academic sessions. The university is inviting applications for a wide range of courses, including MA, MSc, MCA, MTech, MPH, PG Diploma, and language-based diploma programmes across multiple academic schools and specialised centres.

According to the official notification, admissions to JNU’s postgraduate programmes will be conducted on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate courses (CUET PG) 2026. The university states that deprivation points applicable under its admission policy will also be considered during the selection process.

The online registration window opens on May 25, 2026, and candidates can submit applications through the official admission portal until June 15, 2026, by 11:50 PM. JNU has also released a detailed e-prospectus outlining programme-wise eligibility criteria, seat matrices, reservation policies, admission guidelines, and fee structures for applicants.

The university offers postgraduate programmes through several academic schools, including the School of Social Sciences, School of International Studies, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies, School of Environmental Sciences, and School of Computer and Systems Sciences. Courses are available in disciplines such as international relations, economics, biotechnology, sociology, data science, foreign languages, computer applications, and engineering studies.

As per the published admission schedule, the first merit list is expected to be released on June 23, followed by pre-enrolment registration between June 23 and June 25. The second merit list is scheduled for July 1, while physical verification of admission documents will take place from July 7 onwards. The university has also planned a final admission round for vacant seats in late July, with the complete admission process expected to conclude by August 7, 2026.

Applicants are required to upload essential documents, including CUET PG scorecards, academic certificates, photographs, and identity proofs during the registration process. JNU has advised candidates to carefully review eligibility requirements and programme-specific conditions before submitting applications.

The announcement has generated significant attention among postgraduate aspirants due to JNU’s strong academic reputation, interdisciplinary research environment, and wide range of humanities, science, and technology programmes. Discussions across student forums indicate growing interest in admission timelines, hostel allocation, and merit list schedules following the commencement of registrations.
