MAT December 2026 Registration Opens for Management Aspirants

AIMA opens registration for the MAT December 2026 session. The PBT is scheduled for December 20 and CBT for December 27, with applications closing on December 14 and 21, respectively.

The All India Management Association (AIMA) opens the registration process for the December session of the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) 2026. Candidates seeking admission to MBA and other management programmes can apply for the examination through the official MAT website.

The December session examination is conducted in both Paper-Based Test (PBT) and Computer-Based Test (CBT) modes. Candidates can select their preferred mode while completing the application process. The PBT is scheduled for December 20, 2026, while the CBT is scheduled for December 27, 2026.

For the PBT mode, the registration window remains open until December 14, 2026. AIMA plans to release the PBT admit card on December 17, three days before the examination. Candidates opting for the CBT mode can submit their applications until December 21, with admit cards scheduled to be released on December 24.

Candidates can also opt to appear for both PBT and CBT modes. The application fee is Rs 2,300 for appearing in one test mode, while candidates selecting both modes are required to pay Rs 4,000.

MAT is conducted four times a year, providing candidates with multiple opportunities to take the management entrance examination. The test is accepted by numerous business schools and is used for admission to MBA, PGDM and other management programmes.

The MAT examination consists of five sections: Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, and Economic and Business Environment. Each section carries 30 questions, taking the total to 150 questions. Candidates are given 120 minutes to complete the test.

AIMA awards one mark for every correct answer, while 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect response. No marks are awarded or deducted for unanswered questions. Candidates planning to appear for the December session are advised to complete their applications before the respective deadlines and carefully verify their personal and academic details before submitting the form.
