The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the UGC NET December 2025 subject-wise dates for the upcoming UGCNET exam, confirming that the examination will be conducted across India at designated centres.
According to the notification published on the official portal, the UGC NET December 2025 exams are scheduled to begin on December 31, 2025, and conclude on January 7, 2026, allowing candidates adequate time to appear for their respective papers.
UGC NET December 2025 will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for more than 80 subjects, enabling aspirants to compete for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, and PhD admission qualifications.
Candidates can access the subject-wise exam schedule and shift timings morning and afternoon sessions on the official NTA website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The two daily exam shifts are typically structured with the first session running from early morning and the second in the afternoon; aspirants should consult the detailed timetable to confirm their exact reporting times and subject slots.

Before the exam, the NTA will upload the city intimation slips, indicating exam locations, on its official site approximately ten days prior to the commencement of examinations.
