NEET PG Round 2 Deadline Extended; 2,620 Seats Added

  • MCC extends NEET PG 2025 Round 2 choice submission deadline.
  • 2,620 new AIQ seats added, giving candidates more options.
  • Resignation window and PwD portal are active till December 12.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the choice submission deadline for NEET PG 2025 Round 2 choice submission till December 12. This selection comes alongside the addition of 2,620 new postgraduate seats, growing the full All India Quota (AIQ) seats to 32,080.

The extension gives candidates extra time to make knowledgeable choices, in particular with the increased seat availability. Earlier, the seat allotment results were scheduled for December 12. With the new timeline, candidates can carefully evaluate and finalize their preferences without missing out on opportunities created by the added seats.

Along with this, MCC has opened the resignation window for candidates who got seats in Round 1. The window will stay open from 4 pm on December 8 to 6 pm on December 10. This option can lead to the resignation of candidates, especially allotted seats through state counselling, and vacate seats for Round 2 AIQ candidates. Colleges must log this resignation on the official MCC portal; any unlogged resignation will be considered invalid, ensuring transparency within the seat allocation process.

In addition, the PwD portal for Round 2 will remain active until 4pm on 12 December. Candidates with disabilities can visit MCC-designated disability centers to get a PwD certificate as per NMC guidelines so that they can participate in the counseling process without any hindrance.

These updates, including extended deadlines, new seats, the withdrawal window and availability of the PwD portal, are designed to make NEET PG 2025 counseling easier and more accessible. Candidates are advised to act fast, check the updated seat availability and complete all formalities before the deadline.
