BHU Offers 63 New Courses on SWAYAM Platform for 2025 Session
- BHU to offer 63 free courses via SWAYAM starting July 2025.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will launch 63 online courses on the government-supported SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) platform for the 2025 academic year.
Candidates who are interested can now sign up for these complimentary online courses on the official website at swayam.gov.in/INI. The new batch classes are set to commence on July 21 and August 18.
The SWAYAM courses last for four, eight, and twelve weeks. The courses include topics in commerce, management, arts, humanities, social sciences, life sciences, psychology, law, engineering, and Ayurveda. The courses encompass both conventional and modern programs. Examinations for these programs will commence in October 2025.
SWAYAM, an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, strives to offer free and top-notch online education to every learner, and BHU has been appointed as the National Coordinator for Institutions of National Importance (INIs) within the SWAYAM framework.
Dr. Ashutosh Mohan of the Institute of Management Studies, BHU, has been designated as the National Coordinator to spearhead this initiative. This designation grants BHU the responsibility of monitoring the progress, academic standards, and strategic execution of online courses developed by more than 160 INIs nationwide. These encompass top establishments like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and numerous Central Universities.

In the role of National Coordinator, BHU will oversee course management, offer academic and technical assistance, and aid in the ongoing improvement of SWAYAM MOOCs for all involved INIs.
Previously, BHU launched 37 courses on SWAYAM. The university has introduced a specialized news platform, news.bhu.ac.in, to showcase its academic efforts, research initiatives, student events, and accomplishments.
