CUJ, South Korean University Sign Academic Exchange Pact

The Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) announced that it has entered into an agreement with Kyungsung University of South Korea for the exchange of academic and research activities. According to the agreement, the universities would collaborate on academic and research initiatives.

The activities will encompass, "organising seminars, lectures, symposia, workshops and other research meetings, establishing joint research platforms for teachers and students, short-term research visits at the invitation of the department or university, development of special educational programmes for students of both universities, exchange of faculty and students", a CUJ statement said.

Vice Chancellor of CUJ, Prof Kshiti Bhusan Das, said the collaboration will strengthen the academic exchange between the two institutions.

"This will not only promote research and academic activities, but will also expand the university's international recognition and reach. This partnership will prove to be extremely beneficial for both students and teachers," he said.

Prof. Jun Hyub Park, Vice President of Kyungsung University, stated that partnering with a university in a tribal-majority state in India would provide excellent opportunities to engage in tribal-related fields.

The MoU will be instrumental in strengthening ties with South Korean universities, stated Dr. Shashi Mishra, Coordinator, International Cell, CUJ.

According to the statement, this marks the fourth university in South Korea with which CUJ has established an MoU, mentioning that agreements with two additional universities are nearing completion. The collaboration aims to unlock new paths for innovation, promote interdisciplinary teamwork, and foster cultural comprehension between India and South Korea, generating wider prospects for upcoming academic projects.
