In another piece of news, IIT-B’s ‘Senior Survey 2025’ conducted by its student media organization Insight, mentioned ChatGPT the second most used tool for learning a skill, second to online platforms like Coursera.
Based on information from 282 students, the survey revealed that of 272 respondents asking about skill acquisition, 118 were using online platforms, 65 used ChatGPT, and only 9 used library books, which suggests a departure from previous modes of learning. However, with respect to specific tasks, AI tools are not used frequently; 89 of 138 surveyed students were not using ChatGPT for creating resumes while 46 were not using it for assignments and projects.
