ISB Introduces New Merit-Based Scholarship for PGP Students

- ISB launches PGP Class of 2005 Scholarship offering annual tuition exemption.
- ₹2.25 crore endowment ensures continuous support for future deserving PGP students.
- Initiative strengthens ISB’s alumni-driven culture of philanthropy and academic growth.
The Indian School of Business (ISB) has established the PGP Class of 2005 Scholarship, a merit-based grant that will offer an annual tuition fee exemption to a worthy student of the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), starting from the present academic year.
The initiative emerged from the PGP Class of 2005 reuniting after their 20-year celebration last year to support their alma mater, a united act of appreciation that emphasizes their lasting connection to ISB. With ISB’s matching contribution, the scholarship’s endowment of ₹2.25 crore is effectively set to fund the award indefinitely, guaranteeing that future deserving students reap the rewards of this generous legacy.
The scholarship was officially unveiled during a ceremony featuring alumni from the Class of 2005, Dean Madan Pillutla, and DNV Kumara Guru, Senior Director of Advancement, Alumni Engagement, and External Relations, ISB.

“The collective generosity of the class reflects the strength of our alumni community and its commitment to giving back. This endowment will support deserving students year after year, reinforcing our mission of making world-class management education accessible to talented individuals,” Madan Pillutla, Dean, ISB, said in a release.
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage future batches to support similar initiatives, solidifying ISB’s culture of philanthropy and shared growth. It also illustrates how collaborations among alumni can create long term academic opportunities and help build a bridge between past students and current students.
