DU Approves 1-Year PG, Opens Door for Foreign Study

Delhi University has implemented extensive changes to its postgraduate programs and research system because it wants to establish academic standards that meet University Grants Commission requirements and National Education Policy 2020 standards.

The Academic Council at the university approved multiple departments to implement one-year postgraduate programs which specifically target students who finish their four-year undergraduate studies.

The program enables students who have completed advanced undergraduate studies to obtain their master's degree through an expedited academic process.

The university is building its research system through structural changes which include new academic requirements and expanded interdisciplinary educational programs.

Students will be able to earn a small percentage of their course credits through online platforms such as SWAYAM and other MOOCs which support blended learning and wider academic exposure.

The "Semester Away Programme" has received approval for students to study at foreign universities which will provide them with international academic experiences.
