IIT Mandi, NSDC Launch HIMSHIKHAR Initiative

Synopsis: IIT Mandi and NSDC launch HIMSHIKHAR 2026, a residential programme focused on emerging technologies, AI, entrepreneurship, and industry-ready skills through immersive learning and expert mentorship.

The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi), in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), launches HIMSHIKHAR 2026, an innovative residential programme designed to equip students and young professionals with industry-focused skills in emerging technologies and entrepreneurship. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and evolving industry requirements by providing learners with practical exposure and advanced technological training.

HIMSHIKHAR 2026 is developed through the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at IIT Mandi and offers an immersive two-month learning experience within the IIT ecosystem. The programme enables participants to engage with faculty members, researchers, and industry experts while working on real-world projects. The curriculum focuses on hands-on learning, innovation, problem-solving, and developing skills aligned with future career opportunities.

The programme covers multiple specialised tracks, including Software Development with Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Agentic AI Systems, Data Science, and Entrepreneurship and Venture Building. These areas are designed to prepare learners for technology-driven industries by strengthening their understanding of advanced digital tools, data applications, intelligent systems, and startup development.
