RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026 Opens for 590 Posts

RRBs open applications for 590 paramedical vacancies under CEN 05/2026, including Nursing Superintendent and Pharmacist posts. Candidates can apply until October 14, while CBT dates are announced separately.

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) begin the online application process for 590 paramedical vacancies under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) 05/2026. Eligible candidates can apply through the respective regional RRB websites for positions across various healthcare categories in Indian Railways.

The application window opens on September 15, 2026, and remains active until October 14, 2026, at 11:59 pm. Candidates can complete the application fee payment until October 16, while the correction window is available from October 17 to October 26. The dates for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) are announced separately through the official RRB website.

The recruitment drive covers nine paramedical positions. Nursing Superintendent accounts for the highest number of vacancies, with 365 posts, followed by Pharmacist (Entry Grade) with 118 vacancies. The notification also includes 43 posts for Health & Malaria Inspector Grade II, 31 for Lab Assistant Grade II and 25 for Radiographer/X-Ray Technician.

Other positions include four vacancies for ECG Technician, two for Optometrist, and one vacancy each for Dialysis Technician and Audiologist & Speech Therapist. The total number of vacancies across all positions stands at 590.

Candidates are required to pay an examination fee of Rs 500 under the general category. Of this amount, Rs 400 is refunded after the candidate appears for the CBT, subject to applicable bank charges. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, female, transgender and EBC categories pay Rs 250, which is also refundable after appearing for the examination.

RRBs caution candidates against submitting multiple applications for the same or different RRBs. Multiple applications can result in rejection of candidature and may lead to disqualification or debarment from future RRB and Railway Recruitment Cell examinations.
