The recruitment covers teaching positions in urban primary schools under the Basic Education Department and Assistant Teacher posts attached to primary schools in aided institutions.

According to the notification, the recruitment includes 11,508 Assistant Teacher vacancies in urban primary schools and 897 Assistant Teacher posts attached to primary schools in aided institutions. Candidates can submit applications through the commission's online portal using the One-Time Registration (OTR) facility.

The online application process begins on September 16, 2026. Candidates can complete their applications and pay the prescribed fee until October 15, while the correction and editing facility remains available until October 19.
