UPSSSC Recruitment 2026: 132 Posts, Registration Starts Sep 14

UPSSSC announces 132 Senior Instructor vacancies under the State Institute of Rural Development in Lucknow. Registration begins September 14, with candidates shortlisted through their UP PET 2025 scores.
Notification for 132 positions of Senior Instructors in the Department of the Director General, Deendayal Upadhyaya State Institute of Rural Development, Bakshi Ka Talab, Lucknow, through UPSSSC is issued. Recruitment offers vacancies in agriculture, rural development, and related fields. The online application process starts on September 14, 2026, and the last date for submission of applications is October 5, 2026.
These job vacancies have been allocated to various fields of specialisation. Agricultural Engineering has the highest number of job vacancies with 30 vacancies, whereas Plant Protection and Horticulture have 16 vacancies each. The other categories include Animal Husbandry with 14 vacancies, Agronomy/Crop Science with 12 vacancies, Women Welfare with nine vacancies, Cooperation/Panchayat/Soil Science with eight vacancies each, Agriculture Extension with five vacancies, Public Health with three, Production with two, and Agriculture with one vacancy.

Educational qualifications of the candidates applying to the recruitment process should match those that have been set for the particular discipline they belong to. Educational qualifications differ according to posts and may include a degree in agricultural engineering, horticulture, agronomy, soil sciences and animal husbandry, among others. In the case of the Production post, one may apply with a degree in agricultural engineering or other related courses.
The age limit will be 21 to 40 years as of July 1, 2026, with an exception for candidates belonging to the reserved category as per the norms laid down by the Uttar Pradesh Government. The candidate should also have a valid UP PET 2025 scorecard.
In the process of selection, the candidates are selected depending on their normalised UP PET 2025 score. The maximum number of shortlists allowed by the board is 15 times the number of vacancies in each category. After shortlisting, candidates are subjected to the final exam, document verification, and medical examination. Those with a score of zero or negative are not shortlisted.
The primary test is composed of 100 objective-type questions carrying 100 marks and lasts for two hours. It comprises 65 questions from subject knowledge and rural development, analysis and data interpretation, 15 questions from computer and IT, and 20 questions of general knowledge of Uttar Pradesh. There is a penalty of one-fourth mark for each wrong answer.

The successful candidates get Level 6 salaries ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400, with the relevant allowances provided by the Government. The registration fee payable is ₹25 for all applicants. The deadline for corrections to applications and reconciliation of fees is October 12, 2026
