IIM Bangalore BSc Hons Admissions 2027 Open, Check Eligibility

IIM Bangalore opens admissions for its 2027 BSc (Hons) programmes in Data Sciences and Economics. The four-year residential courses offer 80 seats and combine interdisciplinary learning with research, industry projects and internships.
Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has launched applications for the second batch of its undergraduate programs for the 2027 intake of its full-time four-year residential BSc (Hons) in Data Sciences and Economics. Applications will be accepted until October 15, 2026.
There are 80 seats available for the two programmes with 40 seats available under each programme. The programmes offer students an interdisciplinary academic experience incorporating data, economics and business studies. BSc (Hons) Data Sciences: a minor in Economics and a minor in Business Studies are offered to students who choose to major in Data Sciences; similarly, Economics students may choose to minor in Data Sciences and minor in Business Studies.

Additionally, faculty mentored research projects, industry projects, internships and business relations are included in the undergraduate programmes. Students benefit from a wide network of alumni and business contacts at IIM Bangalore, frequent interactions with faculty members and individualised attention to their academic needs.
As part of their foray into undergraduate education, IIM Bangalore introduced these four year residential programmes in 2025. The programmes are designed to develop analytical skills, problem solving and decision making skills, and to introduce students to challenging problems ranging from technology, economics to business.
The age limit is 20 years or less as on 1st August 2027 for taking admission in the 2027 batch. Applicants should have passed out class 12th or equivalent from any recognized board with Mathematics in their 11th and 12th grade with not less than 60 per cent marks in Mathematics in class 10th.
The selection process consists of the Undergraduate Admission Test of IIM Bangalore and a Personal Interview of the shortlisted candidates. Registration starts August 17, applications will close at 5 pm October 15. The UG Admissions Test is tentatively planned for 15th November and Interviews will be held in the second or third week of January 2027. Tentatively, offers and waitlist announcements will be made in the third week of February 2027.

These programmes are helping to expand the academic and research environment of IIM Bangalore to undergraduate students, and include a curriculum that provides a disciplinary depth along with a cross-functional exposure. The institute's approach focuses on educating students for the opportunities and demands of the future in business, technology and economics in light of the data that are available.
