The programme introduces a new academic pathway at IIM Lucknow by integrating artificial intelligence, analytics and management education at the undergraduate level.

The course structure focuses on building strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, programming, artificial intelligence and business analytics. Students are expected to gain knowledge of areas such as machine learning, data-driven decision-making, computational techniques and business strategy. The programme aims to prepare graduates who can apply AI-based solutions to real-world business and social challenges.

Admission to the programme is based on JEE Advanced qualification, making it different from traditional undergraduate management admission routes. Eligible candidates will be selected according to the admission criteria prescribed by the institute. The first batch of students will begin their academic journey in the 2026-27 sessions.

The institute has also announced plans to introduce a Tech MBA programme in the 2027-28 academic sessions. Students enrolled in the BS programme will have the opportunity to continue towards an integrated BS plus Tech MBA pathway, allowing them to complete both qualifications through a structured academic route.

The launch of the programme reflects the growing importance of artificial intelligence and data-driven skills across industries. With businesses increasingly adopting automation, predictive analytics and intelligent systems, professionals with expertise in both technology and management are expected to play a crucial role in future workplaces.

Through this initiative, IIM Lucknow aims to expand access to AI-focused education and develop students capable of contributing to innovation, entrepreneurship and digital transformation. The programme provides aspiring students with a new opportunity to pursue interdisciplinary learning at one of India’s leading management institutions.
