IIM Lucknow Opens PhD Management 2026 Admission; Apply by Feb 16

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow is accepting applications for its Doctoral Programme in Management (PhD) for the 2026 batch. Qualified applicants can finalize the application procedure for the IIM Lucknow PhD admission 2025 via the official website at iiml.ac.in.
The final deadline to finish the application procedure is February 16, 2026. According to the institute, the PhD programme at IIM Lucknow is set to begin in June 2026. For the registration process to be finalized, candidates in the General category must submit an application fee of Rs 1,000, whereas applicants from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories need to pay Rs 500.
The PhD program is available in various fields of specialization, such as Agri-Business Management, Business Sustainability, Communication, Decision Sciences, Economics and Business Environment, Finance and Accounting, Human Resource Management, Information Technology and Systems, Marketing Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Strategic Management.
Admission selection for PhD programs will rely on legitimate scores obtained from the Common Admission Test (CAT), Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Graduate Record Examination (GRE), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), or Junior Research Fellowship/Senior Research Fellowship (JRF/SRF) administered by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), or Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Scores will only be deemed valid if they are obtained on or after January 1, 2024.

Individuals who fulfill the eligibility requirements via a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) or Post Graduate Programme in Management for Working Executives (PGP-WE) from any Indian Institute of Management (IIM) are not required to provide test scores. Candidates must present evidence confirming that the program they completed was full-time and must include the percentage conversion formula provided by their respective IIM.
The institute has also mentioned that applications are welcome from international applicants, including Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and foreign citizens, who will be evaluated based on Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) results achieved in the last year.
IIM Lucknow will implement admission reservations according to the norms set by the Government of India. Admitted candidates to the programme will qualify for a tuition fee waiver, fellowship, and financial support for attending both domestic and international conferences, in addition to a computer grant and health insurance. Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and international applicants must cover all costs associated with the program.
