IIM Mumbai Launches PGDM in Creative Arts Leadership

• IIM Mumbai launches Artepreneur PGDM with Kkala for 2026-27.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has collaborated with Kkala, a creative education platform established by musician Kailash Kher, to launch 'Artepreneur', a one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Leadership for the Performing Arts which will run from June 2026 to May 2027. This program is aimed at aspiring leaders, creative entrepreneurs and artists who want to combine their skills and knowledge in the creative field with the skills and knowledge in management and leadership. This program is an important aspect of the expansion of the performance arts management!

The courses combine disciplines of theatre, music, dance, and yoga with management theory to encompass personal branding, artistic fundamentals, project planning and delivery, financial literacy, marketing, leadership and entrepreneurship. This unique integration of arts supports all participants to be successful in the face of challenges commonly experienced in a cultural and organizational context, resulting in innovation and strategic mindset.

IIM Mumbai is adding its executive education program to the landscape of creative leadership. With the partnership with Kkala, we are adding a layer of rigour to the performing arts and giving participants access to artistic innovation and management proficiency. Prof Manoj K. Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai said that this initiative synergises with IIM Mumbai's mission of developing with a view to integrating both strategic vision with empathy and innovation.

Similarly Kailash Kher discussed the multitude of ways that performing arts has an influence in developing leadership potential in community and workplace spaces as an extension of the work these creative leaders do on our stages.The admission process for the first cohort starting in June 2026 will open soon, and candidates can expect information on eligibility, deadlines, application process, and program structure will be available on the IIM Mumbai official website.
