Stalin Launches Help Desk for Class 12 Career Guidance

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin started a new state help desk program to assist Class 12 students with their higher education and career decision making. The program will help more than 800000 students who will change from school to college during the upcoming 2026-27 academic period.

The help desk, established in every district throughout the state, offers complete support for college admission processes, course selection procedures and career counseling services. Students will receive detailed information about available academic programmes and emerging and in-demand courses and current trends in campus recruitment.

The initiative also includes guidance on filling out application forms and accessing government schemes such as Naan Mudhalvan which focuses on skill development and employability.

The help desk will be operated by trained experts who will provide personalized assistance to students for selecting their future employment path. The main goal of this system is to create an easy admissions process which will help students select their educational path more effectively. The DMK student organization is helping to carry out the project because its members will be assigned to every district. The structured system provides guidance services which become available at local areas to help students who need support and lack proper information and resources.

The help desk launch demonstrates the Tamil Nadu government commitment to improving access to higher education while developing student career readiness. The initiative provides essential support at crucial times to assist students in making informed decisions about their academic and professional paths which will result in increased enrollment and improved job placement results.
