TANCET 2026 MBA, MCA Counselling Registration Opens

Synopsis: Tamil Nadu begins TANCET 2026 counselling registration for MBA and MCA admissions. Eligible candidates can apply online, upload documents, and participate in the centralised admission process before the June 30 deadline.
The Tamil Nadu MBA and MCA admission process for the 2026–27 academic sessions enters a crucial phase as the counselling registration window officially opens for candidates who have qualified the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2026. The centralised counselling process, conducted through the dedicated online portal, enables eligible candidates to seek admission to MBA and MCA programmes offered by government, government-aided, university-affiliated, and self-financing institutions across the state.
Candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance examination can now register online and submit the necessary documents for verification. The registration process remains open until June 30, providing applicants with sufficient time to complete the required formalities and participate in the admission process.
The counselling procedure begins with online registration, followed by the upload of academic and supporting certificates. Once the documents are submitted, authorities conduct a verification process to confirm the eligibility of applicants. After verification is completed, a rank list is prepared and published. The rank list serves as the basis for seat allocation and subsequent counselling rounds.

Students seeking admission to MBA and MCA programmes must ensure that all details provided during registration are accurate and supported by valid documentation. Any discrepancy identified during verification may affect candidature and admission eligibility. Candidates are therefore advised to carefully review their applications before final submission.
The admission process includes separate provisions for candidates applying under special reservation categories, followed by general counselling for the remaining applicants. During counselling, candidates are required to pay the prescribed initial deposit, exercise their choice of institutions and courses, and confirm tentative allotments before receiving final admission offers.
Eligibility for MBA admission generally requires a recognised bachelor’s degree, while MCA applicants must possess a qualifying degree with Mathematics studied at the higher secondary or graduation level. Final-year undergraduate students who satisfy the prescribed conditions may also participate in the admission process.
With thousands of aspirants competing for seats in leading institutions across Tamil Nadu, the counselling process represents a significant step toward securing postgraduate management and computer application education. Candidates are encouraged to complete registration well before the deadline and regularly monitor official notifications regarding rank lists, seat allotment schedules, and counselling updates.
