NEET UG 2026 Registration Closing Soon: Apply Before Deadline

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has urged candidates to submit their applications for NEET UG 2026 through the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, before the deadline. Applications will be accepted only in online mode, and submissions through any other medium will not be considered.

To apply, candidates must visit the official portal and click on the ‘New Registration’ link. After generating an application number and password, applicants are required to log in, fill in the necessary details, upload required documents, pay the prescribed fee and submit the form. Candidates are advised to download the confirmation page and retain a printed copy for future reference.

The application fee for General category candidates is Rs 1,700, while General EWS and OBC-NCL applicants must pay Rs 1,600. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and third-gender categories are required to pay Rs 1,000. The fee for foreign candidates has been fixed at Rs 9,500.

This year, the NTA has introduced additional security features in the registration process. Aadhaar eKYC is now mandatory for identity verification, and applicants must capture a live photograph during submission, which will be matched with their Aadhaar records. Examination city allocation will be based on the permanent or present address provided in the application form.

NEET UG 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on May 3, 2026, in a single shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. The examination will have duration of 180 minutes. Candidates have been advised to reach their respective examination centres well in advance to complete pre-examination formalities.
