UCEED 2027 Registration Begins at IIT Bombay

IIT Bombay begins UCEED 2027 registration on October 1 at 1 pm for B.Des admissions. Candidates can apply with regular fees until October 31, while the exam is scheduled for January 17, 2027.

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) begins the registration process for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2027 on October 1, 2026. The application window opens at 1 pm, with candidates able to submit forms with the regular fee until October 31, 2026. The examination is scheduled for January 17, 2027.

UCEED is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur. Candidates who have completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination in 2026, or are appearing for the qualifying examination in 2027, can apply from any stream, including Science, Commerce and Arts and Humanities.

According to the official schedule, registration with the regular fee remains open from October 1 to October 31, 2026. Candidates who miss the regular deadline can submit applications with a ₹500 late fee until November 6, 2026, at 5 pm.

The UCEED 2027 examination takes place on January 17, 2027, from 9 am to 12 noon at designated test centres. The results are scheduled to be announced on March 6, 2027. Qualified candidates can then apply for B.Des programmes from March 15, followed by admission rounds beginning April 21, 2027.

UCEED is a three-hour, centre-based entrance examination conducted by IIT Bombay. The test assesses candidates' design aptitude and related skills through its prescribed examination structure.
