Google Launches Free SAT Practice Tests in Gemini

  • Google introduces free SAT practice tests within Gemini, helping students prepare effectively using AI tools.
  • Practice exams mirror real SAT format and provide instant feedback explanations for improved learning outcomes.
  • Collaboration with Princeton Review expands affordable standardized test preparation access for students worldwide globally today.

A new feature available freely to users of its Gemini AI application is meant to aid students in preparing for one of the most popular college entrance exams, the SAT, offered by technology giant Google.

The company is collaborating with Princeton Review, a leading provider of educational services, to develop a mode or pattern for full-length, on-demand practice tests similar to those of the actual SAT test. Such practice tests will also be available freely to students, thereby eliminating the need to pay a premium to qualify for such entrance exams.

To begin a practice test on a particular topic or subject, a student only needs to command a start on a practice test on a specific topic by saying “I want to start a practice SAT test,” and a practice test involving topics such as reading, writing, and math would be administered to a student instantly by the AI system named Gemini.

After completing a test or practice analysis on a particular topic or subject that a student wishes to be assessed on or practice on, feedback would be offered to a student by Gemini instantly to indicate a student's weaknesses and strong areas in a particular topic or subject.

According to Google, the new practice test feature is part of a bigger push to improve learning tools within the Gemini app.

Beyond tests, students already use Gemini to study with flashcards, quizzes, and summarizing class notes. Google says more standardized test practice will be available in the future, to add to support for the SAT.

This trend has been recognized by education experts to be very valuable to students in need who cannot otherwise access conventional resources to prepare for tests such as the SATs. This initiative by Google aims to give students equal prospects during this period through the use of free AI technology that mimics a real SAT environment.
