BITS Pilani Opens Board Toppers Admission Scheme 2026

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani has commenced the application process for its Board Toppers Admission Scheme 2026, offering an exclusive opportunity for meritorious Class 12 students to secure direct admission to the institute’s prestigious undergraduate programmes. Under this initiative, first-rank holders from recognised Central and State education boards can gain admission without their BITSAT 2026 performance being considered.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official admission portal until June 30, 2026, with the registration window remaining open until 5 PM on the closing date. The scheme aims to recognise exceptional academic achievement and provide deserving students with access to quality higher education at one of India’s leading institutions.

According to the admission guidelines, students who secure the first rank in the science stream of their respective boards are eligible to apply. Candidates from the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) stream can seek admission to any of the first-degree programmes offered by BITS Pilani. Meanwhile, students from the Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) stream are eligible to apply for programmes such as Bachelor of Pharmacy, B.E. in Environmental and Sustainability Engineering, and M.Sc. Biological Sciences.

The institute defines a board topper as the student who achieves the highest aggregate percentage among all students in the science stream of a particular board while studying the prescribed subjects. In addition to securing the top rank, applicants must satisfy the minimum academic requirements specified by the institute for admission.

The Board Toppers Admission Scheme operates independently of the regular BITSAT admission process and serves as a direct-entry pathway for outstanding performers.
