IIM Lucknow Launches Chief Revenue Officer Programme

- IIM Lucknow launches CRO programme for growth leaders.
- Focus on integrated revenue, sales, and digital strategy.
- Targets senior executives for CXO-level transformation.
The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow has launched a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) Programme aimed at building integrated, growth-focused leadership capabilities in response to the evolving demands of India’s digital and consumption-driven economy.
The programme is structured as an advanced executive education offering, designed for senior professionals responsible for driving revenue, business growth, and market expansion. It reflects a broader shift in corporate leadership roles, where revenue generation is no longer confined to sales but increasingly spans marketing, customer experience, pricing strategy, and digital channels.
Typically delivered in a blended learning format over approximately 10 months, the programme combines live online sessions with faculty, industry interactions, and short campus immersion modules. This structure enables working executives to balance professional commitments while engaging in rigorous, application-oriented learning.

The curriculum focuses on cross-functional integration, equipping participants with skills to align sales, marketing, data analytics, and customer strategy into a unified growth engine. Key learning areas include revenue strategy design, digital transformation, pricing optimisation, customer lifecycle management, and data-driven decision-making. The programme emphasises real-world application through case studies and strategic projects, enabling participants to translate insights into measurable business outcomes.
A key differentiator of the CRO programme is its emphasis on integrated growth leadership, reflecting how organisations are restructuring leadership roles to break silos between commercial functions. As businesses increasingly rely on analytics, omnichannel engagement, and platform-based models, the CRO role is emerging as a central driver of enterprise value.
The programme is targeted at senior executives, business heads, and entrepreneurs with significant work experience, typically over a decade, which is looking to transition into or strengthen CXO-level roles. Upon completion, participants receive certification and may also gain executive alumni status, enabling access to a broader professional network and continued learning opportunities.
From a strategic perspective, the launch underscores the growing demand for revenue-centric leadership in India’s economy, where companies are prioritising sustainable growth, customer-centricity, and digital scalability. It also reflects how premier institutions like IIM Lucknow are aligning executive education with emerging business roles shaped by technology and market complexity.
