IIM-Raipur to Coordinate JAP 2026 With Three Other IIMs

  • IIM Raipur to coordinate the Joint Admission Process 2026 for the four IIMs MBA admissions.
  • A unified admission system was introduced, preserving institute-specific academic and selection criteria.
  • Personal Interview rounds scheduled February–March 2026 after CAT 2025 results.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur will conduct the Joint Admission Process (JAP) 2026 for admission to the MBA program.

JAP 2026 will be relevant for entry to three additional IIMs: IIM Kashipur, IIM Ranchi, and IIM Tiruchirappalli. The institutes, in a release, announced that the initiative aims to establish a Unified Admission System while preserving the selection criteria unique to each institute.

As per the official announcement, the unified process aims to simplify candidate assessment and minimize the redundancy of admission procedures among the involved IIMs. Although the admission system will be uniform, each institution will maintain its specific academic and selection criteria when creating final merit lists.

The upcoming stage of the JAP 2026 admission process is about to commence, following the announcement of CAT 2025 Results earlier this week. Based on the results, the IIMs involved will publish minimum eligibility standards, which will encompass academic criteria and CAT score prerequisites. Candidates who reach these thresholds will qualify to progress to the next phase of the process.

Qualified candidates must finish the required registration on the JAP 2026 online platform within the specified timeframe. The institutes stated that only candidates who are registered will be considered for additional assessment under the Common Admission Framework.

The selection for the Personal Interview (PI) round will be conducted from the group of enrolled candidates. Cut-offs for PI shortlisting, categorized and specific to each institute, will be revealed individually by every participating IIM. The PI rounds are provisionally set to take place between February and March 2026, with specific schedules and guidelines to be issued as the interview period approaches.

IIM Raipur has been assigned as the coordinating institute for JAP 2026 and will manage the execution of the process, including coordination among the involved IIMs and administration of the common admission framework.
