XAT 2027: XLRI To Hold Second Mock Test On Sep 30

XLRI schedules the second XAT 2027 mock test from September 30 to October 1. Candidates who complete registration and fee payment by September 27 can attempt two full-length papers with comparative rank analysis.

The Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur, is set to conduct the second official mock test for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2027 from September 30 to October 1, 2026. Candidates who complete their XAT 2027 registration and payment by September 27 are eligible to participate in the mock test.

The second mock-test round is designed to help management aspirants become familiar with the XAT examination interface and test environment ahead of the actual entrance examination. Candidates receive a 48-hour window to attempt the mock test, allowing them to choose a convenient time within the specified period.

According  to XLRI, the second mock-test round features two full-length papers. The initiative also introduces comparative rank analysis, enabling candidates to assess their performance in relation to other applicants. This provides candidates with an opportunity to identify areas requiring further preparation before the examination.

XAT 2027 is scheduled to be conducted on January 3, 2027, from 2 pm to 5 pm. The registration process is currently open and is scheduled to continue until December 6, 2026, according to the official XAT website.

The XAT examination assesses candidates across Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge. The official examination pattern lists 95 questions, with 26 questions in Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, 21 in Decision Making, 28 in Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation, and 20 in General Knowledge.

The examination carries one mark for each question, while 0.25 marks are deducted for an incorrect response. Candidates can skip up to eight questions without a penalty. A penalty of 0.1 marks applies for each question skipped beyond the first eight. The General Knowledge section does not carry negative marking.

XAT is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on behalf of XAMI members and is used for admission to management programmes at XLRI and participating business schools. The official website states that the examination is accepted by more than 250 business schools across India.

Candidates who wish to access the second mock test are advised to complete the XAT 2027 application process, including fee payment, by September 27. The mock test offers an opportunity to experience the examination format and review preparation before the January 3 test.
