The government initiative to enhance healthcare access for remote and underserved areas includes the expansion project. New colleges are being established through centrally funded programs which require medical colleges to be connected with district or referral hospitals.
The approach increases medical student training capacity through additional training seats while it develops healthcare services in the region by strengthening hospital infrastructure and clinical facilities.
The government shows its continuous commitment to increasing medical education capacity and developing medical professionals through the establishment of 43 new medical colleges and the introduction of thousands of additional MBBS and postgraduate programs.
