The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the entrance test schedule for admission to its PG Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology programme for 2026.

The announcement marks the beginning of the application process which candidates must complete to obtain specialized training in rehabilitation counselling and psychological support services.

The program develops students' abilities to assist individuals who experience physical or cognitive or psychosocial disabilities by teaching them essential knowledge and skills needed for this work.

The candidates interested in applying to do the PG Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology Entrance Test (REPT) can do so using the IGNOU admissions portal.

The date of the entrance test will be April 13, 2026; the university has given March 31, 2026, as the final date for submitting and applying for admissions online; and all applicants should read the eligibility criteria before submitting their forms to ensure that they meet the requirements.

To be eligible, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum qualifying mark as specified in the official notification.

The test pattern will include multiple-choice questions which will evaluate candidates' knowledge of basic psychology and their general awareness and reasoning ability and their communication skills. The entrance test results will decide who can enter the one-year PG Diploma program.

The PG Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology serves as an ideal program for people who want to work in counselling and special education and social work and rehabilitation departments of hospitals and NGOs and community health centres and educational institutions.

The system provides theoretical knowledge together with practical experience in psychological assessments and intervention methods and inclusive practices for different population groups.
