ETS, the developer of the TOEFL iBT, has collaborated with the online education platform Study.com to introduce Official TOEFL Test Prep, a adaptive study program tailored to align with the upgraded version of the TOEFL iBT set to launch on January 21, 2026.

The partnership aims to provide Indian students and learners globally with “authentic, AI-driven practice materials that mirror the updated test’s structure, including its forthcoming adaptive reading and listening sections.” The platform provides questions similar to the TOEFL, engaging lessons, customized tutoring, comprehensive feedback, and progress analysis suited to each student's abilities.

Omar Chihane, Global General Manager of TOEFL at ETS, highlighted the importance of the collaboration, pointing out that TOEFL has served as a global benchmark in academic English proficiency for over sixty years. “We’re proud to partner with Study.com to deliver an official preparation experience for the enhanced TOEFL iBT,” he said.

“This reflects our commitment to fairness, access, and quality – giving every learner a clear path to success in today’s global education landscape,” he added.

Study.com CEO Adrián Ridner highlighted the platform’s student-centered approach: “As an immigrant and first-generation college graduate, I am proud of how Study.com is transforming how students succeed in the 2026 TOEFL iBT exam—making it personalized and enabling users to practice all sections with confidence and detailed feedback.”

The TOEFL iBT version of 2026 will incorporate adaptive features for a tailored testing experience, a revised scoring scale that aligns with the CEFR, and a layout that better mirrors the actual academic tasks students face in higher education. ETS also verified that candidates will obtain their scores in 72 hours, accelerating the admissions procedure.

The revised prep program includes task formats such as sentence construction, email composition, and interview-style speaking, all in accordance with the upgraded test framework. These enhancements provide learners with immediate feedback and data-informed insights in Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing - facilitating more focused skill improvement.
