Chitkara University Opens Code Experience Centre for Practical Tech Learning
On Friday, Chitkara University opened the Code Experience Centre (CEC) in partnership with Capgemini, representing an important achievement in improving students' IT skills and career opportunities at its campus. This collaboration aims to provide students with industry-relevant expertise, preparing them for the rapidly changing technology field.
The CEC was inaugurated in the presence of notable guests, including Madhu Chitkara, pro-chancellor of Chitkara University. At the inauguration, Madhu emphasized the university’s dedication to delivering top-notch education and acknowledged Capgemini’s contribution to influencing students’ futures. She highlighted the significance of practical skills for obtaining leading IT positions and making sure students meet industry demands.
Vishal Gupta, executive vice-president, and COO of the Apps Business for financial services at Capgemini, characterized the lab as a center for innovation where students could acquire practical experience with emerging technologies and real-world projects, enabling them to enhance their problem-solving abilities and remain informed about industry trends.
Cavita Taragi, pro-vice-chancellor (industry partnerships), Chitkara University, elaborated on the lab’s role in training and placement. “Industry experts from Capgemini will conduct specialized training sessions for selected students. After the initial phase, the lab will serve as a platform for other students to work on live projects, further enhancing their employability,” Taragi said.
