Malaysia

Malaysia is shaping up as a key education centre in the South East Asian region with a goal of an international population of 250,000 students by 2030. There has been an increment of 26 percent in the last two years with over 139,000 applications, and China has also contributed highly as well as South Asia, Middle East and Africa.

The cost of living is approximately 582/month and tuition fees are between 2500 and 9500/year.

China

China is also one of the most favored study-abroad destinations in the world, and it is rapidly establishing itself as a transnational education centre with overseas campuses of top world universities. QS anticipates regaining an estimated figure of 490,000 international students by 2026.

In cities like Beijing and Shanghai, the monthly living cost is between 4,500-5,000 yuan (US648-717) and in other places, it is between 1,500-3,000 yuan. The tuition fee ranges between 20, 000-60, 000 yuan annually.

New Zealand

The strategy of New Zealand has been to raise the number of international students to 119,000 by 2034 starting with 85,000 currently. One such policy change is increasing the working hours of the students up to 25 hours in a week, compared to 20.

The annual cost of living is between NZ 18,000 and NZ 27,000 (USD 10,300-15,500) and tuition is between NZ 35,000 and NZ 55,000.

United Arab Emirates

The UAE has been experiencing an extraordinary increase in study destination interest, with study-abroad search numbers reaching 59 percent of all searching in the Middle East and North Africa as of August 2025, which is almost 90 percent greater than the year before.

Although India is still the biggest source market, students in Singapore, France, U.S and Germany are showing growing interest in the UAE. The average cost of living is approximately AED 6,800 (US$ 1,851) per month with the annual tuition being AED 30,000 to AED 120,000.
