IIT JAM 2026 Registration Ends Today: Apply and Check Details

The registration for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM) 2026 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay will end today, October 20, 2025. Qualified candidates who have not submitted their applications can finalize the application process via the official website at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.

According to the official timetable, the IIT JAM 2026 exam is set to take place on February 15, 2026, in a computer-based format over two sessions. The test will consist of seven undergraduate-level papers, incorporating three types of questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. Candidates have the option to take either one or two test papers.

Steps to apply for IIT JAM 2026

• Go to the official site at jam2026.iitb.ac.in

• Select the “Apply for JAM 2026” option found on the homepage.

• Sign up by providing the necessary information.

• Complete the entire application form with your personal, academic, and examination information.

• Submit the required documents in the specified format.

• Submit the required application fee online.

• Examine the details provided and submit the document.

• Download and print a copy of the submitted form for future reference.

Female applicants, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) groups must remit ₹1000 for a single test paper and ₹1350 for two papers. For all remaining categories, the application cost is ₹2000 for a single paper and ₹2700 for two papers.

Candidates who submitted inaccurate information, such as category, gender, examination city, or date of birth, can make corrections by paying an extra fee of ₹300. The same fee will be charged for candidates wanting to add or modify their test papers. These changes can be implemented by November 10, 2025.

Candidates must register on the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) portal by entering their complete name, a valid email, and an active mobile number before applying. Upon successful registration, an Enrollment ID and a One-Time Password (OTP) will be dispatched to the registered email and mobile number for activating the account.

IIT JAM 2026 necessary documents consist of a recent passport-sized photo, scanned signature, valid photo ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Passport), category certificate (if relevant), and PwD certificate (if relevant).
