IIT Kharagpur Offers Free Remote AI, ML & Cloud Internship Till Jun 21

The IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter (CS SBC) at IIT Kharagpur, in collaboration with the IEEE Kharagpur Section, has officially launched the Summer Internship Programme 2025. This is a great opportunity for students wanting to build research and work-based experiences in an emerging area.

The internship is entirely online, allowing students from across India to join remotely. The internship lasts two to three months and is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students (BTech, MTech, BSc, MSc, BCA, MCA, or equivalent) and is intended to provide the experience of working on real-world projects and mentorship from professionals affiliated with IIT Kharagpur and IEEE. The last date of application is June 21, 2025.

The program is designed for students who have a general understanding of programming, computer networking, operating systems, DBMS, engineering mathematics, and basics of machine learning and Python, although students can apply without previous experience.

Students must complete a Google form application and also submit the following: an updated CV, in PDF, a scanned copy or image of a current passport-sized photo, a scanned copy or image of a signature, and a scanned copy or image of a valid student ID card.

Applications must be submitted using the official application. All shortlisted candidates will be notified by the end of June. The internship will start in July 2025.

Although not paid, there are significant benefits such as e-certificates, assistance with working on the projects, and opportunities to connect with IIT Kharagpur faculty and professionals from IEEE.

Participants will gain skills, project portfolios, and references that will augment their academic and professional identities.

The program aims to provide the future generation of tech professionals with hands-on experiences and insights into very fast-growing areas of science and engineering.
