Architecture: Thinc
Creating Future Leaders in Architecture and Designing
Until 2014, Thinc was relatively an unknown coaching institute in the field of architecture and design. Although the institute was established in 2010, they had not started preparing students for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)/JEE Arch entrance exams. However, in its maiden attempt, the institute achieved an astounding victory, all the 30 students of Thinc did secure ranks within top 100 in NATA/JEE Arch Entrance 2014. Continuing its excellence in preparing students to crack the first step for one of the most creative professions in the world, Thinc produced its first all India topper in NATA 2016. The ongoing year has also been working well for the institute, as they have managed to get the second rank in NID 2017.
"Most of our students were able to crack the competitive exam and enter into elite institutions like IITs, NITs, NIFT and so on. It was proud to see some of these institutes mentioning our name in their seminars, despite being a very young coaching centre. Now, many schools are recommending students to join our institute," says Arun P. S., Managing Director, Thinc. Providing cutting-edge coaching for students who aspire to become architects and designers, Thinc ensures individual attention with a limited number of students in every batch. Arun adds, "Our training is entirely different from other institutions. We assess each of our students individually and give special care for those who are in need of an extra guidance. In addition to that, continuous examinations and assessments by our faculty members will help our students to develop confidence and time management skills."

At Thinc, experienced faculty members who are specialists in the various areas of architecture and design handle the classes. The institute also invites experts from NITs, NIDs, NIFTs and IITs as guest teachers to ensure the best possible creative training for their students. Arun claims, "We have a team of outstanding and dedicated faculty members, state-of-the-art infrastructure and proven approach, which collectively help us to provide an extensive and systematic guidance to students who aspire for nothing but the best." While, architecture and design studies require a lot of practical training, Thinc has created excellent lab facilities and smart classrooms, ensuring an ideal blend of theory and practice.
Unlike many coaching institutes, Thinc has built a library, which is well stocked with books written by prominent designers and architects. "We have more than 30,000 contents as PPTs, hard copies, mock tests, Video classes and work sessions," shares Arun. The institute has created different study materials for both architecture and design students, which allow the students to focus on the specialized areas. Arun pinpoints, "We develop new contents every now and then to empower the skill, knowledge and experience of our students. Students can make use of our text materials for self-study, as our expert faculties have created unique contents in a hierarchical order of difficulty."
Today, with four centers in Kerala, Thinc has plans to make a pan Indian presence as well as to set up a digital arm, so that they can include more students in its umbrella of quality coaching. "Our goal is not to become the market leader in the industry, but equip the aspirants to kick start their architecture and design career in the perfect way," concludes Arun.
