It all started for Rathinam Group as a Matriculation school in Eachanari, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu before thirty five years (1979). After making a healthy run in the industry for more than 20 years, RathinamGroup expanded. Now it is called as RathinamTechzone – a 70acre technological campus with various educational institutions (College of Arts & Science, College of Engineering, Institute of Management and an International Public School) teaching right from Pre-KG to Ph.D and Technology Parks, including a Special Economic Zone (SEZ).Accommodating over 4000 students under these institutions, there are about 14 companies located inside the IT Park and SEZ, backing more than 2500 employees. Rathinam Group is also having multiple faces by pioneering education, Information Technology (IT) development and infrastructure development (IT Park / Housing Development) in South Coimbatore. With a sprawling campus of 70 acres, RathinamTechzone is located in the Coimbatore Corporation limit on the NH-209.

With a best team of faculty members,which mainly consists of PhDholders, this college provides the best of materials it can, to its students. A dedicated and well-trained team of faculty members is deployed for the placement of the students, to train them and suit them up for everything the present day industry may need. The institute does not believe in teaching only via text books but itworks on the practical side of education too. Combining industry methods to their syllabus the college stays a step ahead in developing the young minds it takes under its wings.
The institute also emphasizes on career guidance and counselling programmes and hosts them regularly with the help of AICTE sponsored "Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)" to motivate the students. Job fairs, CEO Meets, Live Video Conferences are often conducted to get a look on the feedback from the industries. Students are meant to take part in all these activities so that they can be practically ready for any challenges that may come in their way, in the future. Providing excellent training and placing the students in renowned companies, the last three years has broughttheRathinam Institutions a 90 percent growth in the student placement program. The college campus also has a community radio called 'Rathinavani,' which is completely maintained by the students themselves.

While hostingprojects and in-house training academies on its campus, the college provides every basic thing a student might need to excel in academics and industry. Advanced skills training academies of L&T and UTL are also functioning inside the campus, which are a boon for engineering students.
