Started in 1998 with a single Polytechnic college, Doaba Group of Colleges is an epitome for the conceptualization of this proverb. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"We often talk of unemployment, but the real problem is un-employability and young people often do not have the matching skills,\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" says Dr. H. S. Batth, President, Doaba Group of Colleges. While working under a predetermined university curriculum, it is a tough mission for any institute to equip the students with the latest skills, which is required by the dynamic industry. However, challenging all the odds Doaba has grown rapidly since its inception. At present, the group has three engineering colleges, three polytechnic institutes, two business schools, one college of pharmacy, one school of education and one degree college, spread over three campuses in the state of Punjab. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Imparting quality technical and professional education is a challenge in itself. In a very short span of a decade or so, we at Doaba Group of Colleges have been able to create quality infrastructure in all the three campuses,\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" says S. S. Doaba Business School is the latest addition in the list of colleges. The B-School has already emerged as a leading institute of management education in the region. They offer various management programs such as MBA, BBA, and B Com (professional). \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"As we have already built a reputation as a quality education provider in the state, the management programs have also received highly enthusiastic response,\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" says Manjith Singh, Executive Vice Chairman, Doaba Group of Colleges. Doaba Business School focuses on providing value based education and overall personality development of students. It has excellent infrastructure with super smart classes, centralized library with updated e-journals, lectures through power point presentations, seminars, guest lectures, and industrial visits. Along with that, the faculty members of the institute are well qualified and have industry experience, which they share with the students while teaching. The amalgamation of ample infrastructure and high quality faculty pool would help the students to achieve commendable results.
Placement Training
During the years of journey through various educational services, the management was able to establish good repute with leading corporate houses and private sector MNC\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s in Terms of Training and Placement. The institute\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Placement Cell organizes Workshops, Soft Skills Programs, Aptitude Tests and many more activities on regular basis as a part of Pre-Placement Training. In addition, Guest Lectures by eminent industry experts are also a regular picture in this campus. Personality development workshops are one of the important highlights of Training and Placement cell where they emphasize on the overall development of the student to satisfy the needs of the industry and to adapt to the corporate environment. The Cell is well equipped with ample Infrastructural assets in terms of Air-conditioned rooms for interviews, Testing halls, Auditorium, Consultancy Hall equipped with LCD projectors, Wi-Fi for Pre-Placement Talk and Presentations and so on.
The cell firmly believes in the guidance provided by the Director General of the college that it is important to place the right student at the right place at the right time, to have the efficient utilization of the skills available with the student. Thus, the focus of the cell is to strike a match between recruiter expectations and student aspirations. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Our students have a combination of rigorous thinking, hard work and strong fundamentals. Along with that, the continuous hard work of the team has reaped success to the institution by getting our students placed in the top companies nationwide,\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" says Singh. With all these efforts, a very large number of renowned companies visited the campus for placement last year and recruited many students. These include renowned corporations and multinationals like IBM, Bharti-Axa, HDFC life, Just Dial, Tata group companies, Emerson Technologies, Spice Digital, Videocon, Swaraj, Mahindra & Mahindra, Diplast, Mitsuba Secal, DLF Pramerica and ICICI to name a few.

The MoU with Wolverhampton University, UK enables the students to pursue a part of their studies at Wolverhampton. Apart from that, students from several African countries study at this campus. This has made the campus looks truly international.
