Interactive Programs & MoU\'s
On realization that students need to become more employable, the University designed multiple courses in decision making, problem solving and critical thinking. While the institute consults with various companies such as Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, TCS and a variety of other companies and ask them what their requirements are; they invite people from these organizations to give seminars on critical thinking to students.
GLA University has signed various MoUs with Research Laboratories and National level Skill development organisations. Some of them are with CGRI, Agra, CIDC, New Delhi and NIESBUD, Noida.
However, another important part is the assessment. Each student is regularly assessed and is asked to give an adaptive test which allows the University to understand how the students are growing in the areas of critical, thinking, problem solving and decision making. For this very purpose GLA University has tied up with some of the leading companies and setup the Centers of Excellence such as IBM Center of Excellence, Rockwell Automation Lab and Wipro Lab.
Academic Resources
Life at GLA runs 24x7 and 75 percent of the students live on campus which is why the University has built 14 different hostels. Utilizing this facility the faculty members are able to do their research projects even after college hours. However, the Biotechnology department specifically keeps their labs open at all hours so that students who are doing their research projects can keep various types of cultures and experiments on for 24 hours. Along with one central library each institute and department has a separate library. The central library has more than hundred thousand books, journals, magazines, newspapers, encyclopedia & thousands of CDs.
