The foremost priority throughout the course duration is given on improvising the 'creative instinct' of the learner," states Sandra Agnes, Director South, JD Institute of Fashion Technology. Interior designers are creative souls and they live in a world of inspiration. They invariably shot to create ideas that are innovative and captivating. "We encourage the students to accept challenges from different vendors and modify and improvise the interiors in accordance to the needs of the vendors. This builds the practical knowledge of the students and vitalizes their imagination capability," shares Sandra.

JD is also one of the first institutes in India to forge multi-stakeholder partnerships for the benefit of its students. It has strategic alliances not just with local organizations like Bangalore University but also with international entities like KOEFIA, Italy's #1 design school and Cumulus, the only global association to serve art and design education and research.

Grasping an apt job that is matching with one's aspirations in this consistently fluctuating economy is an icing on the cake. The students of JD are bestowed with an extremely active placement cell, which works interminably to achieve 100 percent rate of placement. "We have created a first of its kind job portal, 'Creative Career,' which is exclusively for the students of JD ushering direct recruitment and internships with Nolte Interior, Homelane, Livspace studio and more," claims Sandra.

The rapid growing name of JD institute validates that it is merely the beginning of writing and bringing a revolutionary change in the area of design education. "There are oodles of objectives we envision to achieve. We aspire to associate with global institutions and become an autonomous university. Along with that, we want to initiate strong 'Indian heritage programs' aiding the students an understanding of the rich and varied culture of our country," concludes Sandra.
