The institute believes in producing a skilled group of individuals, job ready and with a pleasant behavior. In order to achieve the same, a number of initiatives have been taken care of. SNIST has established an Industry Institution Interaction Centre to forge alliances with industries and educational institutions. Having this centre a number of activities such as research and development work, consultancy projects, workshops and seminars are undertaken from time to time. Institutes such as Vaughn College of Aeronautics & Technology, Oilseeds laboratory � CSIRO plant industry, Australia, Illinois Institute of Technology � U.S.A are some from over 14 institutes in collaboration with SNIST.
These institutes facilitate new research opportunities wherein students are exposed to the latest technologies involved and along with it improving their conceptual knowledge and clear perceptions by practically employing them. Some of the areas of research include cloud computing, embedded system, information security and many more. The collaborations also bring in together three most important elements of communicative learning - faculty members, students and industrialists. Various workshops, seminars and conferences that are organized involve these three elements for their best of the benefits. As communication is the source of all the solutions, it gives a way to explore human problems and thus in academics and skill development. These meetings explore opportunities in bridging the skill gap in the students through interpersonal communication between faculty-faculty, industrialist-students, students-faculty and in many more ways pouring in more knowledge and known-unknown educational issues being addressed. All of these activities promise students to be better than earlier.
Imparting a wholesome technical education for a balanced growth of students, the college is the only institution in the Telangana Region to receive World Bank Assistance under TEQIP - Phase I and II. These funds are used in various purposes. The institute aims to achieve employability of students and thereby these collaborations prove helpful. However, as far as employability is concerned, SNIST encourages students to involve in entrepreneurial ventures. A number of entrepreneurs from the industry often delivers lectures and shares their experiences on their success stories to motivate the outgoing graduates.
Initiating the whole process of learning, the faculty members prepare the students to give in all their ventures to learn and to implement according to their perception. The members are said to have been very motivating in cheering up the spirits of their students not only for academics but in extra-curricular activities as well. They are highly attributed by the students as they find their mentors being the main reason for their useful learning having continuous guidance of their mentors respectively.
