Offering six Undergraduate and four Postgraduate programs in engineering along with an MBA and PhD, the SVCE faculty members focus on concept teaching rather than content transfer.The faculty members keenly utilize their expertise and deliver their knowledge to the students amidst of the state-of-the-art infrastructure created at SVCE. "The faculty members encourage their students for research projects, technical presentations and publishing papers in journals of national repute. Institute also offer research programs in several areas of engineering and technology," says Prof. Suresha. The major departments of SVCE have research funding from various organizations and the faculty members and students of SVCE have published hundreds of research articles every year.

The Centre of Excellence has already witnessed a number of students working on a number of projects.Investing further to their students hands on learning to make them ready for the industry, SVCE offers Global certification courses in collaboration with EMC2 and Oracle. This industry-institute tie-up has benefitted in many ways including industry training, internship and placement opportunities. Industry professionals share knowledge about industry requirement, teaching meditation as well as a method of stress management during work in seminars and discussions conducted often.
The Placement Cell provides opportunities for all the students who have opted for placement. Consistently, more than 90 percent students are placed in multi-national and local companies, in both core and software sectors. The organizations offer a yearly emolument ranging from Rs. 4-12 LPA. The Cell also provides awareness and counselling sessions for the benefit of students in the areas of higher studies. “The Training and Placement officer overseas of the pre-placement training of students from the fifth semester on soft skills, technical skills and aptitude,†adds Dr. Suresha.
At present, the institute has a good number of alumni members.Despite residing in different parts of the globe,they are well connected with their alma mater. “We are very proud of our alumni as they form an integral part of the institute. They involve themselves actively and wholeheartedly through several schemes for the benefit of ongoing students,†says Prof. Suresha. Through the enormous effort the institute has taken since its inception, it is obvious that the sky is not the limit for SVCE. With the satisfaction of having successful alumni on their basket already, the institute awaits a new dawn in the form of autonomous status with which they could bring in positive alterations to the present scenario of technical education.

A Ph.D. holder in Security in Distributed Sensor Networks, Dr. Suresha joined Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering in 2013 as Professor&HoD of CSE. From January 2017, he is working as the principal of SVCE and since then he has been instrumental in leading the faculty members to achieve academic excellence in the campus.
