Studied Biology science in 12th standard and graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering, finally working as software developer. Sounds funny to hear, however it is a fact for many of our students who is going away with the flow by sacrificing their passion in the middle. Course like Electronics and Communication Engineering is not a piece of cake to learn without love and passion towards the subject as it is a promptly advanced field, with newer ideas emerging every other second. It brings out the importance of having dedicated faculty and state of the art infrastructure for a college to make the student motivated and pursue their dreams. With a team of highly quality faculty, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at The Oxford College of Engineering, Bangalore cultivates young minds and provides them appropriate launching pads to grow and excel in the technical world. In addition to building a strong culture of teaching and learning, the department of ECE strives hard towards betterment of living conditions for the society through its research projects. One such example is the IEEE sponsored project on head mounted mouse for the physically challenged, currently being evaluated by ICMR for further pruning and productizing. This is one example of the many research initiatives and funded projects undertaken by faculty of various other departments in the college.
The Oxford College of Engineering (TOCE) is one of the most prestigious Institutions under The Oxford Educational Institutions and it provides quality training in professional education in various streams of Engineering, M.Tech, Post Graduate programs in Computer Application (MCA) and in Business Administration (MBA) along with active research in all the departments. The institution is well equipped with high end laboratories, teaching aids, well-furnished classrooms with facilities for LCD presentation and an amalgamation of these facilities has created a congenial and serene atmosphere for teaching and learning process.
Teaching with a Merge of Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor degree in engineering is considered as the first step towards the technical education. Teaching a technical subject is different from other subjects because it demands high level of expertise and knowledge. The college has a dedicated and highly qualified team of faculty who offer quality education to the students as per the academic scheme of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. Add on to the academics, the university sponsored Vsat and E-vidya courses allow students and faculty to access huge volumes of digital course material, as per their convenience and need from the digital library. The college has been recently selected to the prestigious Quality Enhancement in Engineering Education (QEEE) programme of the Union HRD Ministry for selected 100 Engineering colleges throughout India.
The college management has put in considerable amount of effort to make their students to meet the industry requirements. Even for technical course, communication skill is an important thing and the college provides separate English lab to make sure that none of their students slips when it comes to language.
