Civil Engineering Department Overview
The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 2001, with an annual intake of 60 undergraduate students, later expanded to 120. The department offers three Postgraduate programs Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Highway Engineering and is recognized as research centre by JNTUH. The undergraduate program is NBA accredited under Tier-I for six years, consecutively for the second time. The PG program in Structural Engineering also has NBA accreditation for three years.
The M.Tech. Specialization in Structural Engineering equips students with advanced knowledge in structural analysis, design of concrete and steel systems, and modern computational techniques. The curriculum emphasizes FEM tools, BIM integration, and performance-based design to build strong technical proficiency.
