University of Sheffield Opens MSc FinTech 2026 Admissions

The University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom is accepting applications for the MSc Financial Technology and Innovation program for 2026. The length of the full-time program will be one year. Students can apply for the program via the official site - sheffield.ac.uk.

Students do not require a background in finance or accounting before joining this course. Throughout the program, participants will gain cutting-edge analytical skills via modules that emphasize technology and data analytics.
The course provides instruction in Bloomberg databases, generative AI, blockchain, Python for Accounting and Finance, Ethical Challenges: Governance and Regulation, Data Analytics Principles, Portfolio Management and Investment, Global Financial Markets and Institutions, and sustainable finance principles for positions that require both innovation and responsibility.
The yearly cost for international students is £35,840 (around Rs 41 lakh). Moreover, the University does not ask for references or referee information in the application, nor for any supporting statement for this program.

To be eligible for admission, applicants must possess an undergraduate honours degree in any field. International candidates must also show proficiency in the English language by taking an approved test, such as the IELTS, achieving an overall score of 6.5 and a minimum 6 in every section, or a comparable qualification accepted by the University.
Throughout the year-long program, students will have the chance to participate in lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, and computer-based labs. During the program, the University provides opportunities to interact with industry professionals via guest lectures and to select a dissertation project with an external company for enhanced industry experience.
