BITS Design School Opens 2026 Admissions; Apply Now

  • BITS Design School opens admissions for its 2026–30 Bachelor of Design program.

BITS Design School (BITSDES) has revealed the opening of admissions for its third batch of the four-year, fully residential Bachelor of Design (Honours) program. Applications for the 2026-30 class are currently open and will close on February 1, 2026.

A batch of 180 students will be accepted. Candidates can be eligible by passing any of these exams: NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims, UCEED, or the BITS Design Aptitude Test (BITSDAT). Candidates intending to apply with NID-DAT or UCEED scores must also complete and submit their applications by 1 February 2026, including their NID-DAT / UCEED roll numbers.

The BITSDAT, an online test lasting one hour, will take place from March 31 to April 5, 2026. Only those students who submit their applications by 1 February 2026 will have the opportunity to upload their scores when the application portal opens from 8 April to 12 April 2026.

The announcement of shortlisted candidates will take place on 16 April 2026, with portfolio submissions from 16 April to 20 April 2026, and online interviews scheduled from 2 May to 12 May 2026. The final outcomes will be announced on 18 May 2026. All dates may change at the discretion of BITS Design School.

The earlier cohorts showcase a diverse range of academic backgrounds, featuring students from Science, Arts, and Commerce streams from CBSE, ISC, State Boards, IB, and IGCSE.

Students may focus on Physical Product Design, Digital Product Design (UI/UX), Design Research & Insights, Experience Design, and Visual Design. The program provides transdisciplinary education that integrates design, policy, business strategy, and emerging technologies to equip students for changing industry and policy demands.
