IIT Madras Pravartak to Train 30,000 Educators in Career Counselling

IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation aims to train 30,000 teachers and educators from 10,000 schools and institutions nationwide in ‘Career Counselling Certification Training’. This program is being provided online in collaboration with BodhBridge Education, a firm founded by IIT Madras graduates.

The educators, following training from IITM Pravartak, will provide career guidance and personalized career counselling sessions for their students. The IITM Pravartak team will furnish essential assistance and resources for the educators.

This training is offered at no charge for the advantage of school students, with whom teachers invest considerable time, allowing them to recognize their strengths, weaknesses, and interests. This special role allows teachers to be the first to identify a student’s potential and direct them towards areas where they might thrive.

Educators can foster ambitions early on, assist students in envisioning career objectives, and inspire them to strive for those goals.

This initiative is available for School Teachers, School Principals, College Faculty, Educators, and Counsellors. Enrollment in this training program costs nothing. The insights acquired from this workshop will not only aid their students but also improve their abilities as teachers and mentors.

BodhBridge has operated in the career guidance sector for the past decade. Over the past five years, the company has collaborated with IIT Madras on various projects focused on career counseling for children in rural areas. This collaboration with IITM Pravartak seeks to deliver career guidance and counseling principles to a wide audience of educators.

The program offers free online training for all teachers, providing a comprehensive foundation-level course in career counseling. Participants will gain access to the top 100 in-demand careers, along with self-assessment tools and well-established career guidance frameworks.

The training is developed and delivered by experts from IITM Pravartak and BodhBridge. It is open to school teachers, principals, college faculty, educators, and counsellors.
