ACCA, IIM Visakhapatnam Collaborate on Finance Initiatives

ACCA, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a globally recognized accountancy body, and the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam, a premier management institution, have entered into a pact to strengthen accounting and finance education.
The duo was added on by Prabhanshu Mittal, ACCA’s Head of Educational Partner Relationships - India, and Prof. Vijaya Bhaskar Marisetty, Dean of Academics at IIM Visakhapatnam, in the presence of IIM Visakhapatnam Director Prof. M. Chandrasekhar.
The MoU defines a collaborative framework to improve educational programs, cultivate innovation, and encourage faculty development. The alliance will concentrate on conducting the high-impact workshops, seminars, and faculty development activities for the advancement of research and academic excellence in the field of accounting and finance.
The partnership between ACCA and IIM Visakhapatnam will leverage the former's global expertise and the latter's academic rigor to prepare the future professionals for dealing with the changing global financial landscape by imparting to them the required skills and the necessary insights.

Md. Sajid Khan, ACCA Director-India, underlined a lot of the importance of the partnership: "Such a partnership with IIM Vsk is a real turning point in extending not only academic but also worldwide professional development. Professor Marisetty expressed, “It will take the best of both worlds – the mission of ACCA to instill a variety of opportunities in the sector and the ambition of IIM V to groom the next generation of entrepreneurial global business leaders.”
Professor Chandrasekhar remarked, “By implementing the standards that are shared with our partner, the ACCA, we are able to take on almost 6,500 students from six different programs and then reach out to the diverse financial markets of the world, where our students can make a difference.”This alliance demonstrates a shared commitment to embracing innovation, expanding research, and equipping leaders for a global accounting profession.
